Rent help?

Can anyone please help me? I am a mother of 2, both girls and sadly my husband and I are out of work. He is working on 10-11 months now and as for me 2006 is the last I worked in a job setting. I have done childcare for my sister for free, other wise we have no income expect for my school which is every three months. The Lord has recently in the last two days blessed us with a car due to our's going out and we are able to get around but now that we have it our Landlord is telling us 400.00 in less than a month or get out. For some strange reason were being charged 100.00 more than normal. We used to pay 300.00 a month but I didn't get into detail with my husband over this due to him being very upset about it. As of now we are out of work and have no washer to do our clothes so things are very hard on us.

Basically I am wondering if there is any place I can go that will guarentee me that I can get at least 250.00 for now to cover our rent or some place that I can get a grant to cover at least 2-3 months of rent? My husband's father has been paying our lights, water, and cover misc things for our kids and my husband has been working odd jobs for our land lord but since work has dried up for him he's demanding 400.00 for rent. I can give my home number if need be to verify this or I can have my husband get a copy of a statement from our landlord or anything to verify this. I have no problem, nor am I looking to scam anyone even though alot of people may think this I can get proof. Please someone help us.
